I last reviewed the follow-up album “Grindpas Hobby”, which entertained me quite well for a grindcore album. So here now the predecessor and in a way also the trailblazer. So the fact that the order is not correct makes this review a bit harder for me. Document 6 come from my hometown Aachen and are active since 2012. If you look at the track list and the lyrics in the booklet (singing along doesn’t really work, by the way), it’s also clear on this work that they are politically resolutely on the left. All the more strange appears the intro of the CD, which greets us with a German march (“Heute gehört uns Deutschland…”) instead of grindcore-typical horror samples. While I am still puzzling whether I have inserted the right CD and not Grandpa Horst’s favorite march album, heavy guitars dissolve my irritation. Okay, you can do that. But the “Alerta Antifascista” shouts at the end of the last track finally make clear where the rabbit runs. Although it is Grindcore, the tracks are quite multifaceted and partly with lengths of over two and a half minutes almost epic long. At least, with “Death” is also a “real” grind song with only twenty-three seconds in length represented.

The vocals are very varied, but the singer is not convincing in every vocal range. The mostly without big effects naturally left, growled vocals sound namely unfortunately often a little tortured and thin. In addition to daily political events and socio-political topics, of course, genre-typical subjects are treated. The sound is quite round, even if relatively pressureless in many places. The snare is present, whether the drums, which always sit absolutely tight, has a bass drum, unfortunately often remains unclear, the vocals are -not always to the delight of the listener- very much in the foreground. The work is loosened up by all sorts of samples that fit the tracks, which fit well into the overall picture. The rather clamorous “Volxmusick”, which awakens unpleasant associations with Eisregen’s beer songs, and the penultimate track “Weihnacht”, which brings the danger of ear cancer due to the wry shrieks (tortured smurfs on acid?) in the background, make something perplexing and seem like foreign bodies on this otherwise quite round album.

Ich rezensierte zuletzt das Nachfolgealbum „Grindpas Hobby“, das mich für ein Grindcorealbum recht gut unterhielt. Hier nun also der Vorgänger und gewisserweisen auch der Wegbereiter. Dadurch, dass die die Reihenfolge also nicht stimmt, macht es mir dieses Review etwas schwerer. Document 6 stammen aus meiner Heimatstadt Aachen und sind seit 2012 aktiv. Schaut man sich die Titelliste und die Texte im Booklet an (mitsingen klappt übrigens nicht wirklich), so wird auch auf diesem Werk klar, dass sie politisch entschlossen links stehen. Umso merkwürdiger erscheint das Intro der CD, das uns anstatt mit grindcoretypischeren Horrorsamples mit einem Deutschen Marsch („Heute gehört uns Deutschland…“) begrüßt. Während ich noch rätsele, ob ich die richtige CD und nicht Opa Horsts Lieblingsmarschalbum eingelegt habe, lösen schwere Gitarren meine Irritation auf. Okay, kann man machen. Die „Alerta Antifascista“-Rufe am Ende des letzten Tracks machen dann aber endgültig klar, wohin der Hase läuft. Obwohl es sich um Grindcore handelt, sind die Tracks doch recht facettenreich und teilweise mit Längen von über zweieinhalb Minuten schon beinahe episch lang. Immerhin ist mit „Tod“ auch ein „richtiger“ Grindsong mit nur dreiundzwanzig Sekunden Länge vertreten.

Der Gesang ist sehr abwechslungsreich, jedoch ist der Sänger nicht in jeder Stimmlage überzeugend. Die meist ohne große Effekte natürlich belassenen, gegrowlten Vocals klingen nämlich leider oft ein wenig gequält und dünn. Neben tagespolitischen Geschehnissen und sozialpolitischen Themen werden natürlich auch genretypische Subjects behandelt. Der Klang ist recht rund, wenn gleich an vielen Stellen relativ drucklos. Die Snare ist präsent, ob das Schlagzeug, dass immer absolut tight sitzt, über eine Bassdrum verfügt, bleibt leider oft unklar, der Gesang steht -nicht immer zur Freude des Hörers- sehr im Vordergrund. Aufgelockert wird das Werk durch allerlei zu den Tracks passenden Samples, die sich rund in das Gesamtbild einfügen. Das recht klamaukige „Volxmusick“, das unangenehme Assoziationen zu Eisregens Bierliedern weckt, und der vorletzte Track „Weihnacht“, der aufgrund des schiefen Gekreisches (gefolterte Schlümpfe auf Acid?) im Hintergrund die Gefahr von Ohrenkrebs mit sich bringt, machen etwas ratlos und wirken wie Fremdkörper auf diesem ansonsten doch ziemlich runden Album.

I now know that it doesn’t come close to the follow-up, but this release is also a bright spot between many other, often meaningless and contentless releases of this genre. Musically and lyrically quite close to original punk oriented, this album can appeal to fans of both the one, as well as the other genre. Who likes to listen to grindcore and is not overwhelmed by the fact that here is not half an hour in a row blastbeat offered, but is played varied, should listen in good conscience. The listening pleasure is diminished only because of the not always coherent mix (but actually varies from song to song) and the unfortunately not always well performed vocals (okay, for me also because of the music direction), but the Aachener present here an all-around convincing work that is in the shadow of the successor, but does not have to hide behind it.

Dass es nicht ans Nachfolgewerk heranreicht, weiß ich nun, jedoch ist auch diese Veröffentlichung ein Lichtblick zwischen vielen anderen, oft Sinn- und Inhaltslosen Veröffentlichung dieses Genres. Musikalisch und textlich recht nah an ursprünglichen Punk orientiert, kann dieses Album sowohl Fans des einen, wie auch des anderen Genres ansprechen. Wer gerne Grindcore hört und nicht dadurch überfordert ist, dass hier keine halbe Stunde am Stück Blastbeat geboten, sondern variantenreich gespielt wird, sollte guten Gewissens mal reinhören. Der Hörspaß wird lediglich aufgrund des nicht immer stimmigen Mixes (tatsächlich aber von Song zu Song unterschiedlich) und den leider nicht immer gut performten Vocals (okay, für mich auch auch wegen der Musikrichtung) geschmälert, dennoch legen die Aachener hier ein rundum überzeugendes Werk vor, dass zwar im Schatten des Nachfolgers steht, sich aber hinter diesem nicht verstecken muss.

DOCUMENT 6 has been around for 7 years and are from Aachen, by ex members of Kadath and Cause Of Divorce. Probably you know the release, “Das vierte Reich” or the BLUT ep, typical squatersgrindpunk with antifascist lyrics. After that their style evolved more intothe direct of deathmetal7deathcore, but first member Rolf (from Kadath) wanted to make grindcore again. Rob from Ryvok and Frank from Durbatuluk joined and in 2018 eighteen grindcore songs are recorded and released by the band self. I read that this album is recorded in the Grindbashers Studio and this is the exact atmosphere this orchesta needs.

DOCUMENT 6 gibt es seit 7 Jahren und kommen aus Aachen, von ehemaligen Mitgliedern von Kadath und Cause Of Divorce. Wahrscheinlich kennt ihr die Veröffentlichung “Das vierte Reich” oder die BLUT ep, typischer Squatersgrindpunk mit antifaschistischen Texten. Danach entwickelte sich ihr Stil mehr in die Richtung Deathmetal7Deathcore, aber das erste Mitglied Rolf (von Kadath) wollte wieder Grindcore machen. Rob von Ryvok und Frank von Durbatuluk stießen dazu und 2018 wurden achtzehn Grindcore-Songs aufgenommen und von der Band selbst veröffentlicht. Ich habe gelesen, dass dieses Album im Grindbashers Studio aufgenommen wurde und das ist genau die Atmosphäre, die dieses Orchester braucht.

Agathocles and Malignant Tumor show similarities. Schultenbräu grindcore with german lyrics. The blastbeats are fast, the grunt characteristic and the muddy caracter has some charme. I think you will have a very comfy liveband with them. Please prepare some half a liters of beer, they don´t need to be cold.

Agathocles und Malignant Tumor weisen Ähnlichkeiten auf. Schultenbräu Grindcore mit deutschen Texten. Die Blastbeats sind schnell, das Grunzen charakteristisch und der schlammige Charakter hat einen gewissen Charme. Ich denke, dass man mit ihnen eine sehr bequeme Liveband haben wird. Bitte stellt ein paar halbe Liter Bier bereit, sie müssen nicht kalt sein.

Document 6 is a band that has been making noise since 2012, comes from Aachen and doesn’t take itself too seriously. I like that kind of thing. In 2012 they released a full length. Maybe it was a bit early, because somehow I remember that there was some kind of chaos at that time. A demo followed in 2013 and in 2014 an EP called “Openmind”. Now the stagecoach of the family Thurn und Taxis set out on the long way to transport the new messages of the Grind/Deather also to East Frisia.

Gevatter Rolf König (Ex Brutal Sphincer), the last of the Mohicans, that is, since 2012, bludgeons away properly. Cover letter I also found already tasty. “The new disc is as always political, but there are also some not so serious songs on the disc”.

Okay, Cd on and beautiful one feels arrived in the third Reich. The march including “Today Germany belongs to us and tomorrow the whole world” is of course meant sarcastically, because politically the band is exactly on the other side and so the grindsong also ends with “Antifacista”. Sounds.
This position is underpinned in the course of the CD again and again, such as in “Hardcore Holocaust”. A loud and long Dead Kennedys / Naplam Death “Nazi Punk Fuck off” resounds against you, before it then already goes into a groovy part. Intermittent baller eruption may not be missing, of course. Very nice.

The guys can also be funny, as for example: in “Sexist”. “How they pull on the cigarrette, how they phone…these women, hehe. “Ordinary Love” is also a good example of this. “If it stinks, it stinks”. Which part of the body it is about, you have to guess yourself. The song itself is musically very punky, of course with grind attacks. Quite funny. They also know a lot about German literature. So they quote from Goethe’s Faust. Whether the good man would agree with the musical implementation of his piece, I dare to doubt, hehe.

Document 6 ist eine Band, die seit 2012 irgendwie Krach macht, aus Aachen stammt und sich selber nicht zu Ernst nimmt. So etwas mag ich ja. 2012 haute man gleich eine Full Length heraus. War vielleicht etwas früh, denn irgendwie habe ich in Erinnerung, dass damals irgendwie Chaos herrschte. Es folgte in 2013 noch ein Demo und in 2014 ein EP namens „Openmind“. Nun machte sich die Postkutsche der Familie Thurn und Taxis auf den weiten Weg, um die neuen Botschaften der Grind/Deather auch nach Ostfriesland zu transportieren.

Gevatter Rolf König (Ex Brutal Sphincer), der letzte Mohikaner, sprich seit 2012 dabei, knüppelt ordentlich was weg . Anschreiben fand ich auch schon lecker. „Die neue Scheibe ist wie immer politisch, aber es sind auf der Scheibe auch einige nicht so ernst gemeinte Songs“.

Okay, Cd an und schön fühlt man sich im dritten Reich angekommen. Der Marsch inklusive „Heute gehört uns Deutschland und morgen die ganze Welt“ ist natürlich sarkastisch gemeint,denn politisch steht die Band genau auf der anderen Seite und so endet der Grindsong auch mit „Antifacista“. Klängen.
Diese Position wird im Laufe der CD immer wieder untermauert , wie z.B. bei „Hardcore Holocaust“. Ein lautes und langes Dead Kennedys / Naplam Death „Nazi Punk Fuck off“ schallt einen entgegen, bevor es dann schon in einen groovigen Part übergeht. Zwischenzeitliche Ballereruption darf natürlich nicht fehlen. Sehr schön.

Spassig können die Burschen auch, wie z.b: bei „Sexist“.”Wie die an die Zigarrette ziehen, wie die telefonieren…diese Weiber,hehe. „Ordinäre Liebe“ ist auch ein gutes Beispiel dafür. “Wenn es stinkt, dann stinkt es”. Um welches Körperteil es sich handelt, müsst ihr selber erraten. Der Song selber ist musikalisch sehr punkig angelegt, natürlich mit Grindattacken versehen. Schon witzig.

Ahnung von deutscher Literatur haben sie auch noch. So wird schön aus Goethes Faust zitiert. Ob der gute Mann mit der musikalischen Umsetzung seines Stücks einverstanden wäre , wage ich zu bezweifeln, hehe.

But the coolest song in my opinion is “Monster” . “You have created am monster and it will destroy you”. On the face Grindcore with Death parts and absolutely horny Mitgröhlrefrain. After 1:30 minutes I pressed the repeat button again. A song for my show “Radio Combine”.

Clever heads are also still, who like to quote. “When you get involved with the devil, it’s not the devil that changes, it’s the devil that changes you.” Fact. The song “Duivel” that goes with it is a battle rag, but sounds chaotic and unstructured.

Musically, there are 18 times what on the bells. My beloved mixture of Grindcore and Death Metal is on the agenda and so I can reassure Rolf. I kept the CD ( in the cover letter: “If you don’t like the disc so much, maybe just give the CD to someone who would be happy about it”! Hehe. Rolf, comma placement needs to be practiced.

A grind revolution is definitely not. But I absolutely had my fun and felt very well entertained. The intros, otherwise not so liked by me, are appropriate, funny and serve their purpose. The humor, also musical kind as well as with “Hack” the breaks with strange singing or “Death” with Helge Schneider (sounds at least so) at the beginning and short intermezzo afterwards, comes absolutely well and meets my nerve. But also musically has done something in the camp. Fast Uftata and dir Grindparts, especially on the drums, are very cool.

The mixture of grind, death, groove, humor and German lyrics (don’t worry, you won’t understand them anyway) is very cool, except for “Weihnacht”, hehe. Listen to it yourself, because you know why. Anyway, otherwise really a fun thing,

The production is nicely trimmed to old and reminds me partly of my friends from “Blood” , also musically here and there.

With “A for arrogance” the fun ends. Once again a nice song at the end of the Grind(r)evolution.

So, the fellows definitely offer nothing new, also does not have to and here and there you can tilt on times, but they definitely shock. Without expectation, even rather with a small negative expectation, went to it and with a grin ended the day. Grinder make with the purchase of this CD definitely nothing wrong. With 35 minutes, the album is almost too long.

Conclusion:
I take my Mp3 player, pull me the “Grind(r)evolution” on it and ride on a GRINDwal down the Ems. Hopefully the hairstyle holds!

Der geilste Song ist aber meiner Meinung nach „Monster“ . „You have created am monster and it will destroy you“. Auf die Fresse Grindcore mit Death Anteilen und absolut geilen Mitgröhlrefrain. Nach 1:30 Minuten habe ich nochmal die Repeattaste gedrückt. Ein Song für meine Sendung „Radio Mähdrescher“.

Schlaue Köppe sind es auch noch, die gerne zitieren. „Wenn du dich mit den Teufel einlässt, verändert sich nicht der Teufel, der Teufel verändert dich.“ Fakt. Der dazu gehörende Song „Duivel“ ist ein Schlachtfetzen, klingt aber chaotisch und unstrukturiert.

Musikalisch gibt es 18 Mal was auf die Glocken. Meine geliebte Mischung aus Grindcore und Death Metal steht auf der Tagesordnung und so kann ich Rolf beruhigen. Ich habe die CD behalten ( im Anschreiben:“Wenn Du die Scheibe nicht so gut findest, vielleicht gibst Du die CD einfach an jemanden weiter, der sich darüber freuen würde“!. Hehe. Rolf, Kommasetzung muss geübt werden.

Eine Grindrevolution ist definitiv nicht. Ich hatte aber absolut meinen Spaß und fühlte mich sehr gut unterhalten. Die sonst von mir nicht so gemochten Intros sind passend, witzig und erfüllen ihren Zweck. Der Humor, auch musikalischer Art sowie bei „Hack“ die Breaks mit merkwürdigen Gesang oder „Tod“ mit Helge Schneider ( klingt zumindestens so ) am Anfang und kurz Intermezzo danach, kommt absolut gut und trifft meinen Nerv. Aber auch musikalisch hat sich im Lager etwas getan. Schnelle Uftata und dir Grindparts, besonders an den Drums, sind sehr geil.

Die Mischung eben aus Grind, Death, Groove, Humor und deutschen Texten ( keine Sorge, versteht man eh nicht ) kommt schon sehr geil, bis auf „Weihnacht“, hehe. Selber hören, denn wisst ihr warum. Egal, ansonsten wirklich ein spaßiges Ding,

Die Produktion ist schön auf alt getrimmt und erinnert mich teilweise an meine Freunde von „Blood“ , auch musikalisch hier und da.

Mit „A for arrogance“ endet der Spaß. Noch mal ein schöner Song am Ende der Grind(r)evolution.

Also, die Burschen bieten definitiv nichts neues, muss auch nicht und hier und da kann man mal weiterskippen, aber sie schocken definitiv. Ohne Erwartung , sogar eher mit einer kleinen negativen Erwartung , dran gegangen und mit einen Grinsen den Tag beendet. Grinder machen mit den Kauf dieser CD definitiv nichts verkehrt. Mit 35 Minuten ist das Album schon fast zu lang.

Fazit:
Ich nehme meinen Mp3 Player, ziehe mir die “Grind(r)evolution” drauf und reite auf einem GRINDwal die Ems herunter. Hoffentlich hält die Frisur!

The Aachener are not the fastest, what new material is concerned. Last time they have set themselves in 2014 with the EP “Openmind” in scene, they now finally return with brand new material in the scene.

Die Aachener sind ja nun nicht die schnellsten ,was neues Material angeht. Letztmalig hat man sich 2014 mit der EP „Openmind“ in Szene gesetzt ,kehrt man nun endlich mit brandneuem Material ins Szenegeschehen zurück.

Absolutely fitting to the title “Grind (r)evolution”, one ignites here a 18 pieces comprehensive fat brute sound orgy massacre, which will certainly blow the last lump of dirt from our ears. “GRIND (R)EVOLUTION” is directed with all its power and energy against all the social and political shit that has fallen upon us in recent years. With full force and absolute conviction, one rages here literally through the events and leaves absolutely no room for any “sweet” sounds. Apart from various sampler recordings, it comes here almost never to a standstill.

Absolut passend zum Titel “Grind (r)evolution”, entfacht man hier ein 18 Stücke umfassendes fettes brachiales Soundorgienmassaker, welche sicherlich den letzten Drecksbrocken aus unseren Ohren blasen wird. “GRIND (R)EVOLUTION“ richtet sich hierbei mit ganzer Macht und Energie gegen den ganzen gesellschaftlichen und politischen Scheiß ,welcher über uns in den letzten Jahren hereingebrochen ist . Mit voller Wucht und absoluter Überzeugung, wütet man sich hier förmlich durchs Geschehen und lässt dabei absolut keinen Freiraum für irgendwelchen „lieblichen „ Klänge. Mal abgesehenen von diversen Samplereinspielungen ,kommt es hier so gut wie niemals zum Stillstand.

Packed with gruff deadly riffs and ner enormously fat portion of double bass inserts, covers one here a good 35 minutes long grind thunderstorm, which could hardly be more extreme. Although one also devotes here beside the already more than absolutely destructive total attack, also times rather something slower slammy passages, loses none of the individual pieces somehow times its goal from the eyes to destroy at the end everything and to go as winner from the place. Matching the absolute grind carnage, roars, rattles, grunts, growls with full fervor through each individual song and thus really covers the entire range of the “most deviant” forms of expression. It doesn’t get any better than that! Quite cool are so various pieces, in which one takes a bissel what at German “Volxsmusikkunst” and these so correctly beautifully in completely extreme “violence orgies” converts. Although not new this idea, but straight here one sets on so nen rhythm structure, which will provide for ne absolute party mood and with which one should go so full pulse. Great material to ignite the absolute mosh – / circle pit. “Grind (R)evolution” is compared to the last EP release a lot fatter, dirtier and especially more powerful. The price of 6.50 € (including shipping – Germany) is more than justified, especially since you also sound technically comes across really nice rich and oppressive. Only alone the “booklet” is here rather spartanic, but still appealing turned out. Who wants to grind once again “in the ground “, which will come in any case to this part here hardly past and have his absolute joy with it.

Vollgepackt mit schroffen tödlichen Riffs und ner enorm fetten Portion an Double Bass Einsätzen, überzieht einen hier ein gut 35 Minuten währendes Grindgewitter, welches extremer kaum sein könnte .Obwohl man auch hier neben dem schon mehr als absolut zerstörerischen Totalangriff, sich auch mal eher etwas schleppenderen slammigen Passagen widmet,  verliert keiner der einzelnen Stücke irgendwie mal sein Ziel aus dem Augen, am Ende alles zu vernichten und als Sieger vom Platze zu gehen .Passend zum absoluten Grindgemetzel, röhrt, röchelt, grunz, growlt man mit voller Inbrunst durch jeden einzelnen Songs und deckt damit echt die gesamte Bandbreite der „abartigsten „ Ausdrucksformen ab. Besser geht da schon nicht mehr! Recht cool geworden sind so diverse Stücke, in denen man sich mal ein bissel was an deutscher „Volxsmusikkunst“ vornimmt und diese so richtig schön in ganz extreme „Gewaltorgien „ umwandelt .Zwar nicht neu diese Idee, aber gerade hierbei setzt man auf so nen Rhythmusaufbau, welche für ne absolute Partystimmung sorgen wird und bei denen man so volle Pulle abgehen sollte. Geiles Material um so den absoluten Mosh – /Circle Pit zu entfachen. “Grind (R)evolution“ ist im Vergleich zur letzten EP Veröffentlichung um einiges fettes ,dreckiger und vor allem durchschlagskräftiger geworden. Der Preis von 6,50€ ( inklusive Versand – Deutschlandweit) ist hierbei mehr als gerechtfertigt ,zumal man auch Sound technisch richtig schön satt und drückend rüberkommt. Einzig allein das „booklet“ ist hier eher etwas spartanisch, aber dennoch immer noch ansprechend ausgefallen. Wer sich mal wieder „in Grund und Boden „ grinden lassen will, der wird jedenfalls an diesem Teil hier kaum vorbei kommen und seine absolute Freude damit haben.

Today Germany belongs to us, and tomorrow the whole grind colony! The revolution eats its children and DOCUMENT 6 is hungry.
With animalistic rattling, rage citizens and the extreme right are grinded to pieces, instinct-driven autocrats and dictators are turned through the meat grinder until the lies are squeezed out and the truth is filtered. With chili up their butts, the riffing runs rampant like a wild boar rampage, accompanied by the pounding of drumsticks. Neither death nor the devil, Höcke nor Trump can stop the carnage. May the dignity of man remain untouched, the rest belongs dissected and distributed like a burst ulcer through the garden gnome hunter fence row house settlement. “Music” like 10 kilos of hack.

Heute gehört uns Deutschland, und morgen die ganze Grind-Kolonie! Die Revolution frisst ihre Kinder und DOCUMENT 6 hat Hunger.
Mit animalischem Röcheln werden WutbürgerInnen und die extreme Rechte in Stücke gegrindet, werden instinktgetriebene Autokraten und Diktatoren durch den Fleischwolf gedreht, bis die Lügen rausgepresst und die Wahrheit gefiltert wird. Mit Chili im Hintern grassiert das Riffing wie ein Wildschwein-Amoklauf, der vom niederprasselnden Drumstick-Geprügel begleitet wird. Weder Tod noch Teufel, Höcke oder Trump können das Blutbad aufhalten. Möge die Würde des Menschen weiter unangetastet bleiben, der Rest gehört seziert und wie ein aufgeplatztes Geschwür durch die Gartenzwerg-Jägerzaun-Reihenhaus-Siedlung verteilt. “Musik” wie 10 Kilo Hack.

Anger-driven vomit in the Saumagen, which comes up and goes to work in rattle mode against racists, sexists, hypocrisy and folk music, capitalism. A symphony of moral decency and a large-scale operation with 6000 shots per minute. In the end, no one comes out of this in one piece. The “Ordinäre Liebe” cover by TOXOPLASMA scares me and may be listened to at most at noon in sunshine, otherwise there is a danger that you will be abandoned by all spirits. Grind (r)evolution is a sound massacre and leaves you wishing for redemption. If you get involved with the devil, you can’t expect “peace-joy-egg-cake”, but a slaughter of offended vanities.

Wutgetriebenes Ausgekotze im Saumagen, das hochkommt und im Röchelmodus gegen Rassisten, Sexisten, Heuchlerei und Volksmusik, Kapitalismus zu Werke geht. Eine Sinfonie des moralischen Anstands und ein Großeinsatz mit 6000 Schuss pro Minute. Am Ende kommt hier keiner heil raus. Das “Ordinäre Liebe”-Cover von TOXOPLASMA macht mir angst und darf allerhöchstens zur Mittagszeit bei Sonnenschein gehört werden, ansonsten besteht die Gefahr, dass du von allen Geistern verlassen wirst. Grind (r)evolution ist ein Soundmassaker und hinterlässt den Wunsch nach Erlösung. Wer sich mit dem Teufel einlässt, darf kein “Friede-Freude-Eierkuchen” erwarten, sondern ein Schlachtfest gekränkter Eitelkeiten.

DOCUMENT 6 from Aachen have been bludgeoning their version of grindcore, or “dirty bastard grind” as they call it themselves, since 2012. It’s mostly politically motivated, as the band never tires of emphasizing what they think of all that Nazi filth, but also sometimes rather humorous (like the intro of “Volksmusick”) and definitely always full on.

DOCUMENT 6 aus Aachen knüppeln seit 2012 ihre Version von Grindcore, oder “Dirty Bastard Grind”, wie sie es selbst nennen. Der ist überwiegend politisch motiviert, da die Band nicht müde wird zu betonen, was sie von dem ganzen Nazidreck hält, aber auch mal eher humorvoll (wie das Intro von “Volksmusick”) und definitiv immer voll auf die Zwölf.

I feel not infrequently reminded of “Anticapital” from the great “ASSÜCK”, although the sound of DOCUMENT 6 not quite so powerful bangs out of the boxes (although my dog always looks at me somehow very reproachful, as soon as the record plays). The comprehension of the lyrics is not possible without a lyric sheet, by the way, and so I only learned that the lyrics are mostly written in German. In any case, this album is absolutely fun and if now the sound gets a tiny bit fatter, then the domestic earthquake is guaranteed.

Ich fühle mich nicht selten an “Anticapital” von der großartige “ASSÜCK” erinnert, wenngleich der Sound von DOCUMENT 6 nicht ganz so mächtig aus den Boxen ballert (wobei mein Hund mich immer irgendwie sehr vorwurfsvoll anguckt, sobald die Platte läuft). Das nachvollziehen der Texte ist ohne Textblatt übrigens nicht möglich und so habe ich erst dadurch erfahren, dass die Lyrics überwiegend in deutscher Sprache verfasst sind. Auf jeden Fall macht dieses Album absolut Laune und wenn jetzt noch der Sound eine winzige Spur fetter wird, dann ist das heimische Erdbeben garantiert.

Aardschok: 10-2019

DOCUMENT 6 was founded seven years ago in Aachen by former members of Kadath and Cause Of Divorce. You might know the release “Das vierte Reich” or the “Blut-EP”; typical squat grindpunk with the well-known anti-fascist accompanying lyrics. The style has evolved a bit towards death metal/deathcore, but founding member Rolf (from Kadath) wanted to do grindcore again. Rob from Ryvok and Frank from Durbatuluk joined and in 2018 these eighteen grind songs were recorded and that’s just the vibe this band has. “Malignant Tumor” and “Agathocles” also share similarities. Schultenbräu grindcore with a German accent. The explosions are fast, the grunts are characteristic and the chaotic character is the charm that goes with it.

DOCUMENT 6 is zeven jaar geleden opgericht in Aken, door ex-leden van Kadath en Cause Of Divorce. Wellicht kennen jullie de release “Das vierte Reich” of de “Blut-EP”; typische kraakpandengrindpunk met de bekende bijbehorende antifascisme-teksten. De stijl is daarna wat richting death metal/deathcore gegroeid, maar oerlid Rolf (van Kadath) wilde graag weer grindcore maken. Rob van Ryvok en Frank van Durbatuluk kwamen erbij en in 2018 werden deze achttien grindsongs opgenomen en dat is ook exact de sfeer die dit orkestje heeft. Malignant Tumor en Agathocles tonen eveneens overeenkomsten. Schultenbräu-grindcore met Duitse tongval. De blast zijn snel, de grunts karakteristiek en het rommelige karakter is de charme die hier bij hoort.

Ihr kennt vielleicht die Veröffentlichung “Das vierte Reich” oder die “Blut-EP”; typischer gedrungener Grindpunk mit den bekannten antifaschistischen Begleittexten. Der Stil hat sich ein wenig in Richtung Death Metal/Deathcore entwickelt, aber Gründungsmitglied Rolf (von Kadath) wollte wieder Grindcore machen. Rob von Ryvok und Frank von Durbatuluk schlossen sich an und 2018 wurden diese achtzehn Grind-Songs aufgenommen und das ist genau die Atmosphäre, die diese Band hat. “Malignant Tumor” und “Agathocles” weisen ebenfalls Ähnlichkeiten auf. Schultenbräu-Grindcore mit deutschem Akzent. Die Explosionen sind schnell, die Grunzlaute charakteristisch und der chaotische Charakter ist der Charme, der dazu gehört.

I think you’ll have one hell of a live band with this trio. Keep the lukewarm half litres ready….
